Principal's Message

End of the 2025–2026 School Year

As we come to the end of another successful school year at Eliza Van Bibber School, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our students, families, staff, and community members for their support, dedication, and partnership throughout the year. Mussi cho for making me, Paul and Bruin feel so welcome in the community. We have found a home with you in Pelly Crossing.

This year has been filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. Our students have demonstrated resilience, curiosity, and kindness in their classrooms, on the land, in cultural activities, and through extracurricular opportunities. We are proud of their accomplishments and the positive contributions they make to our school community every day.

We are fortunate to learn and work on the traditional territory of the Selkirk First Nation in Pelly Crossing. The knowledge, culture, language, and values shared by Elders, Knowledge Keepers, families, and community members continue to enrich our school and strengthen the learning experiences of our students. We are grateful for these connections and for the opportunities they provide.

I would like to recognize the incredible commitment of our staff, whose passion and dedication create a welcoming and supportive environment where students can thrive. Their efforts, both inside and outside the classroom, have made a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners.

To our families, thank you for your encouragement, involvement, and trust. Education is strongest when schools and families work together, and your partnership is deeply appreciated.

As summer begins, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, enjoy the land, connect with family and friends, and celebrate the many successes of the year. Whether through fishing, camping, cultural gatherings, travel, or simply enjoying the long northern days, I hope the summer brings opportunities for joy, renewal, and reflection.

On behalf of all of us at Eliza Van Bibber School, thank you for a wonderful 2025–2026 school year. We wish our students, families, staff, and community a safe, happy, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another year of learning and growth.

With gratitude,

Sandy Rodrigues
